Soft Lockout 11: Ignition Failure

Refer to the current I&O manual for full explaination and updates

Condition

  • Flame failure after 5 tries to restart (Phantom 80 through Phantom 180)
  • Flame rod not detecting flame
  • Condensate trap plugged

Possible Cause

No/Low Gas Pressure

(Refer to I&O manual for full instructions and updates)

  • Check incoming gas pressure and how much it drops when the gas valve opens.
  • Check the minimum gas pressure on the rating label. The maximum gas pressure should never exceed 14″ w.c. as it may damage the gas valve.
  • To check the incoming gas pressure connect your manaomer to the inlet gas pressure tap on the gas valve. Before connecting the manaometer turn your gas off. Open the screw in the gas tap at least 3 turns. Connect your manometer and turn the gas on.
