Crown Boiler Gives Back

Social Responsibility Takes Center Stage at Crown

The spirit of volunteerism is alive and well at Crown Boiler, with employees helping out numerous organizations this summer. Whether it’s spending time with veterans at the local VA Hospital, refurbishing household items with Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore, or making a kid’s day brighter at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, Crown employees are finding way’s to give their time to those in need.”When you’ve been in a community as long as Crown has been in Philly, a real connection grows,” Crown Boiler’s President, Yale Steingard said. “As a company it’s great to be able to give back to the area that has helped our business be successful.”

Along with taking group office trips, some employees are volunteering with organizations they belong to at home. Regional Sales Manager Bill Genes is a part of his local Knights of Columbus council and gives his time to the Boy Scouts as well. Bill Liddell, Traffic Manager, is a board member and VP of his hometown Civic Association, helping to relay the concerns of citizens to local government.”It’s important that we strive to make the community a better place,” said Yale, “and we’re going to do everything we can to return the support that Philadelphia has given us over the years.”
